Mental and physical health awareness with Sarah Richards.

Sarah having both mental and physical health issues has contacted us to promote mental health awareness and support us, Sarah finds slow exercise that is mostly core-based and water-based exercise extremely beneficial for her mental and physical health. Exercise is known to be extremely therapeutic for mental illness and has proven to be as effective as certain types of medication for mild and moderate depression. Sarah was diagnosed at age 15 for mental illness. and Sarah has Fibromyalgia which causes chronic pain and fatigue, as well as muscular dystrophy. This is a neuromuscular disease that causes the muscles in the body to waste away. There is no cure for it, and it causes chronic pain and limitation of all kinds, around 20% of FSHD sufferers will become dependent on the use of a wheelchair, but Sarah is not giving up the fight just yet. Sarah has a 12-year-old daughter who is thriving in life and encourages Sarah mentally and physically, her daughter often takes part in the exercise together.
