Why strength training is so important for football

Strength is highly important for football, usually the most physically developed youngers dominate at the youth level and older players who are still physically strong can continue playing such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic who still plays brilliantly at age 40+. Anyone can benefit from strength training but for football, it is highly beneficial to do an upper/lower split and to concentrate on squats, deadlifts, push presses, and bench presses.
